Santa Eularia is the third largest municipal in Ibiza, and is located on the east coast of the island.
This destination shows a different side of Ibiza, which is rich in culture and other hidden gems. The nightlife here is low key and the streets are home to local restaurants, small galleries and bars, all in a romantic Balearic mix. An excellent choice for families, couples or those who want to visit a town which does not feel like a tourist attraction.
There are plenty of day time markets and street stands, and a famous hippie market every Saturday, where one can find all sorts of things, from handmade jewelry to homemade liquor. There is live music, hippies playings their drums, and fresh vegetarian food.
A great place for families with kids who enjoy playing together in a multi cultural environment.
Santa Eularia has the only river in Ibiza. Surrounded by a beautiful promenade, delicately made of palm trees and water fountains, you will find a well constructed boardwalk great for running or long walks. This promenade also offers nice restaurants, boutiques and SPA hotels. There is also a large marina here, filled with boats and yachts during the summer. The river is connected to the beach line, and takes you all around the marina area.
The town has historical heritage as well. When you enter the town from a western approach you cross a lovely Roman bridge over the Santa Eularia river. At the very top of town you find the fascinating 16th century architecture of the Church of our Lady of Jesus. From this hilltop you get fantastic views over the municipality of Santa Eulalia which includes Santa Gertrudis, the greater part of Jesus, Es Cana, San Carlos and the beautiful bay of Cala Llonga.
Having several nice restaurants, bars, a popular nightclub, superb hotels with spa facilities and a lovely white sand beach, Santa Eularia offers a wide variety of possibilities and is a very good choice for any holiday.
